In Bali, metallophone with suspended keys, each key having a bamboo tube resonator. It comprises 4 to 7 keys. It is played with a single large mallet. Its relative pitch lies one octave below that of the calung.

The word jègog refers to this instrument as well as to the large bamboo xylophone of western Bali. We can wonder, on the other hand, what instrument the name referred to first.
